Baseball Recap: Acadiana Christian Comes Up Short on the Road Against Acadiana Christian

The Lions had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Acadiana Christian Defenders on Tuesday. The Lions have struggled against the Defenders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Isaiah Burch put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Burch was even better at the plate, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

Burch wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lane Parks, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Lions will challenge the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for the Defenders, they will square off against the Guardians on Tuesday.
