Volleyball Recap: Mesquite Takes a Loss

The Mesquite Wildcats didn't have quite enough to beat the Agua Fria Owls on Friday and fell 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Mesquite sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 21-25, 25-22, 23-25, 15-11.

Mesquite now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Agua Fria, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mesquite will take on St. Mary's at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Agua Fria, they will face off against Peoria at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
