La Habra is a perfect 5-0 against El Dorado since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Highlanders will welcome the Golden Hawks at 3:15 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (La Habra 2.7, El Dorado 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
El Dorado will take on a team with plenty of momentum: La Habra extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Highlanders came out on top against Sonora by a score of 5-1.
La Habra got a great performance from Samantha Cervantes as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Eliana Corona, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three game, El Dorado brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They never let Sunny Hills get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Golden Hawks, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Emily Yoon, who gave up just four hits to keep Sunny Hills off the board. Yoon has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Renay Chavez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Sydney Hwang was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
El Dorado always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sunny Hills only posted an OBP of .263.
La Habra's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for El Dorado, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.
La Habra skirted past El Dorado 2-1 in their previous matchup on April 10th. Will the Highlanders repeat their success, or do the Golden Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
