Soccer Game Preview: New Braunfels vs. Veterans Memorial

The New Braunfels Unicorns will square off against the Veterans Memorial Patriots at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. New Braunfels will be strutting in after a victory while Veterans Memorial will be coming in after a defeat.

New Braunfels' defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Tivy with a sharp 3-0 win. Given the Unicorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Antlers are ranked 473rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

New Braunfels hit Tivy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Grasyn Unruh, Elise Owen, and Kaitlin Sprey.

Meanwhile, Veterans Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Pieper, falling 5-0.

Veterans Memorial now has a losing record at 5-6-2. As for New Braunfels, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
