Football Game Preview: Rockwall-Heath Hawks vs. Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes

Two dominant signal callers in Prosper Neal and Maximus The Great Denson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Rockwall-Heath Hawks will square off against the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Rockwall-Heath is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wylie East 52-10. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won three in a row.

Rockwall-Heath's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Grant Moravec with three sacks. Rockwall-Heath got some further help from Carson Adams: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Duncanville got the win against Temple on Friday by a conclusive 35-14. The result was nothing new for the Panthers and Pantherettes, who have now won seven matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Duncanville's win came from a few key players Rockwall-Heath will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Trenton Yancey, who picked up 78 receiving yards and one TD, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 55 yards. Ayson Theus was another key player, rushing for 57 yards and one score on only six carries.

Duncanville's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Rockwall-Heath, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Rockwall-Heath took a serious blow against Duncanville in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 62-24.
