Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Academy Takes a Loss

Mountain View Academy was the 3-1 winner over Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Mountain View Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12.

Sephora Camacho paced Mountain View Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Camacho got some help from Myka Chan and her 25 assists. Camacho also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emily Bautista, each putting up five.

Mountain View Academy now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Mountain View Academy nor Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit have any future games scheduled.
