Basketball Recap: Liberty Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Liberty couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 65-47 bruising from the Ridgeview Wolfpack on Tuesday. The Minutemen's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Liberty still got an impressive performance from Shania Brown, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards. The matchup was Brown's fourth in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Moriah Tate, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 22-5. As for Ridgeview, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ridgeview, they will square off against Central Wise on Friday. Ridgeview knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Central Wise likes a good challenge.
