Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bald Eagle Area walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Central Cambria Red Devils with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Red Devils two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

While Bald Eagle Area won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 27-25.

Leah Bryan paced Bald Eagle Area's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bryan got some help from Casey Angellotti and her 28 assists. Bryan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Bald Eagle Area has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-7-2 record this season. As for Central Cambria, their defeat ended an eight-match streak of away wins and brought them to 29-5-1.

Bald Eagle Area has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Richland on the 1st. Central Cambria does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
