Basketball Recap: St. Bonaventure Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

If Cate wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. Bonaventure, they should've done a better job of containing Sarah Cosio. The St. Bonaventure Seraphs claimed a resounding 58-28 victory over the Cate Rams thanks in part to Cosio, who went 9 for 12 en route to 22 points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Alyssa Olmos, who posted five points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. Those six assists gave her a new career-high.

St. Bonaventure is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points per game. As for Cate, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

St. Bonaventure will look to defend their home court on Friday against Trinity Classical Academy at 5:00 p.m. St. Bonaventure is on a three-game streak of home wins, Trinity Classical Academy a ten-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
