Basketball Game Preview: Mountain House Mustangs vs. Oakdale Mustangs

We've got a battle between Mustangs coming up. Oakdale will need to watch out since Mountain House has now posted at least 55 points in their last 11 games.

Last Wednesday, everything went Mountain House's way against East Union as Mountain House made off with a 68-42 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Shamar Jones was his usual excellent self, putting up 32 points in addition to five boards and three steals. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Coldin Parker, who posted 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Oakdale beat Patterson 51-45 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Mountain House is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points over those games. As for Oakdale, the win got them back to even at 13-13.

Mountain House took their victory against Oakdale in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 66-42. Does Mountain House have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oakdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
