Morton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on Thornton Fractional North with a sharp 35-10 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Potters' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Meteors are ranked 234th).

Meanwhile, Peoria won against Normal Community two weeks ago with 36 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Lions beat MacArthur by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 36-14. The victory was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on five straight.

Morton's record is now 7-3. As for Peoria, their record now sits at 8-2.
