It was a good run, but Independence unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They and the Gunderson Grizzlies were almost perfectly matched up, but the 76ers suffered a 13-12 defeat. The 76ers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Grizzlies earlier this season, when they won 12-6.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Gunderson, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Independence is set to take on their familiar foe Santa Teresa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the 76ers 10.4, the Saints 4.3) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Gunderson will face off against rival Leigh at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
