Recap: Heide Trask Titans vs. West Columbus Vikings
Even though the West Columbus Vikings scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, the Heide Trask Titans still came out on top. Heide Trask took down West Columbus 73-55. That's another feather in the cap for Heide Trask, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Myron Mckoy, who scored 30 points along with six assists and three steals. The game was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gio Driggers, who scored nine points along with 13 rebounds.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Unique Kelly , who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Tristian Tubbs , who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Heide Trask is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for West Columbus, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Heide Trask will head out on the road to face off against East Duplin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Duplin comes in still looking for their first win of the season. West Columbus will be home for the holidays to greet Union at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Union is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
