Spanish Fort waltzed into their game on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Saraland Spartans. This was payback for the Toros, who suffered an 8-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Mallarie Beagle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Maddie Nelson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Haley Hart, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run and one double.

Spanish Fort's victory bumped their record up to 39-10. As for Saraland, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 30-11-1.

As of now, neither Spanish Fort nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
