Raytown South fell victim to Winnetonka and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Griffins. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Griffins: they've now lost four in a row.

Raytown South's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Winnetonka, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.

Raytown South and Winnetonka could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Cardinals (ranked 297th) will meet Excelsior Springs (ranked 98th) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Winnetonka will challenge Kearney at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (250 vs. 64).
