Soccer Recap: Middletown Takes a Loss

Middletown and Ponaganset squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Middletown had to settle for second. They came up short against the Chieftains, falling 5-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Ponaganset this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on October 7th.

Middletown's loss dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Ponaganset, they pushed their record up to 12-7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Middletown is set to challenge their familiar foe Cranston East at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Ponaganset will square off against rival Narragansett on Thursday.
