Football Game Preview: Atlantic Eagles vs. McArthur Mustangs + Official Tickets

The Atlantic Eagles will welcome the McArthur Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Atlantic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let North Miami get on the board and left with a 55-0 victory. That looming 55-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

A big part of Atlantic's win came down to the chemistry between Pedro Martinez and his top target James Jones. Martinez threw for 276 yards and seven TDs while completing 90.5% of his passes while Jones picked up 120 receiving yards and four scores. Those seven passing touchdowns gave Martinez a new career-high. Atlantic also got a significant boost from Omari St.Fort, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.

Meanwhile, McArthur waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They claimed a resounding 41-13 victory over the Tigers. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-7.

Atlantic better keep an eye on Kenson Louis. He was instrumental in McArthur's win, rushing for 137 yards. Louis' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something McArthur proved: they limited Martin County to a paltry 2.3 yards per carry. The Mustangs' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.8.

Atlantic's record is now 10-1. As for McArthur, their record now sits at 9-2.

Atlantic didn't have too much breathing room in their game against McArthur in their previous matchup back in November of 2019, but they still walked away with a 13-7 win.
