Softball Recap: Edison Victorious

While Edison's win against Whitney Point wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Wednesday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Aurora Parlo's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Edison's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Whitney Point, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Edison will take on Cicero-North Syracuse in a tournament on Saturday. As for Whitney Point, they will face off against Southside at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
