Volleyball Game Preview: Baptist Hill Bobcats vs. St. John's Islanders

After both having extra time off, the Baptist Hill Bobcats and the St. John's Islanders will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. St. John's took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Baptist Hill, who comes in off a win.

Baptist Hill barely beat Cross the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bobcats blew past the Trojans 3-0 last Tuesday.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Baptist Hill was: they took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-5, 25-10.

Meanwhile, St. John's lost 3-0 to Lowcountry Leadership two weeks ago.

While St. John's was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Lowcountry Leadership's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-20.

Baptist Hill now has a winning record of 5-4. As for St. John's, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Baptist Hill beat St. John's 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
