Basketball Recap: Hardin Northern Starts Season with Win Against New Bremen

Hardin Northern had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They managed a 36-32 win over the New Bremen Cardinals. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Polar Bears also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Alaina Thomas, who posted 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Addy Bacon, who earned 11 points and four steals.

Hardin Northern will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ada at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. As for New Bremen, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 40-39 loss against Jefferson on the 25th.
