The Lutheran South Academy Pioneers will challenge the Cypress Christian Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lutheran South Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on St. Joseph with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pioneers.
The final score came out to 25-3, 25-19, 25-13.

Lutheran South Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Eli Wittman, who had 12 digs and three aces, and Charlie Marsico, who had 11 digs and five assists. Those 12 digs gave Wittman a new career-high.
They weren't the only good servers: Lutheran South Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in three consecutive matches.
Cypress Christian won the last time they faced Fort Bend Christian Academy and LILAH JOHNSON did her part to make sure it happened again. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-2 thanks in part to JOHNSON, who had 17 assists and four digs. Marsico is also on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Cypress Christian who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 16-25, 25-22, 18-25, 15-9.
Cypress Christian's victory bumped their record up to 24-13-1. As for Lutheran South Academy, their win bumped their record up to 30-7.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Lutheran South Academy has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Cypress Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
