Volleyball Game Preview: Santiam Christian Eagles vs. Dayton Pirates

After both having extra time off, the Santiam Christian Eagles and the Dayton Pirates will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Santiam Christian's win against Taft wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tigers 3-2.

Meanwhile, Dayton entered their tilt with Salem Academy on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Crusaders. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Dayton's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Santiam Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.
