Football Game Preview: Liberty Christian Warriors vs. Nolan Catholic Vikings + How To Watch

The Liberty Christian Warriors will face off against the Nolan Catholic Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Liberty Christian's favor as the team sits on nine straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Nolan Catholic has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Liberty Christian is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Parish Episcopal on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Warriors were dealt a 56-28 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

Liberty Christian might have lost, but man, Quinn Murphy was a machine: he rushed for 170 yards on only 13 carries, and also threw for 208 yards and a pair of TDs. Murphy really tore up the turf during one magnificent 96-yard run. Cash McCoart was Murphy's top target, picking up 31 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 55-3, which was the final score in Nolan Catholic's tilt against Bishop Lynch on Friday. The contest marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Nolan Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Liberty Christian, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.

It's a different story for Nolan Catholic, though, as they've been averaging only 108.3 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
