Football Recap: Scripps Ranch Takes Down El Camino in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Scripps Ranch had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the El Camino Wildcats 17-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since September 12th.

Although El Camino took the loss, they still got scores from Anthony Sega and Ryan Hamilton.

Scripps Ranch is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.3 points over those games. As for El Camino, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Looking ahead, Scripps Ranch will challenge Santa Fe Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 10.9 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them. El Camino does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
