St. Bernard put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 28-0 victory over the Eureka Loggers. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Loggers are ranked 801st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

A big part of St. Bernard's win came down to the chemistry between Trenten Hagler and his top target Kuron Devlin. Hagler threw for 117 yards and one TD while Devlin rushed for 68 yards and one score. Devlin was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards.

St. Bernard's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB seven times. Jahseree Bailey was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. St. Bernard's got some further help from Kohlton Hall: he picked up 1.5 sacks and made eight total tackles (5.0 for loss).

St. Bernard's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Eureka, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.
