Holmes County put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 43-29 win over the Ponce De Leon Pirates. The 43-point effort marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Holmes County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Clyde Roche, who posted ten points and seven assists. Roche is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Hunter Maples was another key player, putting up ten points.

Holmes County's record now sits at 5-0. As for Ponce De Leon, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Holmes County will head out to take on Freeport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ponce De Leon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 0-0 victory against Emmanuel Christian on the 5th.
