Softball Recap: Wellsville Takes a Loss

Wellsville lost against Iola on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 5-4. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Taylar Spring made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Wellsville's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Iola, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wellsville is set to take on their familiar foe Prairie View at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Iola will face off against rival Santa Fe Trail at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs are on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Chargers a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
