Volleyball Recap: Avon Eagles vs. Anthony Wayne Generals
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Avon had no problem doing just that on Sunday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Anthony Wayne Generals. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Generals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.
Londyn Stone paced Avon's offense, picking up 21 kills. Stone got some help from Kaitlyn Pojman and her 25 assists. Ally Brediger controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
When it comes to explaining why Anthony Wayne lost, don't look at Jessie Kennelly. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and three assists. Kennelly is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
