Volleyball Recap: West Jefferson Takes a Loss

West Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Archbishop Chapelle Chipmunks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buccaneers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While West Jefferson was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Archbishop Chapelle's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-4, 25-5, 25-10.

Archbishop Chapelle can attribute much of their success to Ava Landry, who had six digs and four aces. That's the most aces Landry has posted over her last seven contests.

West Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Archbishop Chapelle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-10.

Looking ahead, West Jefferson will challenge Destrehan at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Archbishop Chapelle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chalmette at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
