Volleyball Recap: Seminole Ridge Falls Short of Martin County in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Seminole Ridge can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Martin County Tigers on Wednesday. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 19-25, 25-14.

Leading Martin County to victory were Shelby Stone and Kaylee Alvarez. Stone had 20 digs and three aces, while Alvarez had eight digs and two aces. That's the most aces Stone has posted over her last six contests.

Seminole Ridge's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Martin County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Seminole Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Martin County, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Dwyer on the 16th.
