Soccer Recap: Salinas Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

Salinas gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Evergreen Valley Cougars a 7-0 shutout.

Salinas' offense was hitting Evergreen Valley from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Praisia Lowe led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Evergreen Valley now has a losing record of 0-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Salinas is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Evergreen Valley, they will head out to take on Milpitas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
