It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but South Ripley had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They never let the Rising Sun Shiners get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for South Ripley, who have now won three matches in a row.

Madison Melton was the driving force of South Ripley's attack as she scored both of South Ripley's goals, bringing her season total up to 13 goals.

South Ripley's win bumped their record up to 8-6-1. As for Rising Sun, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10-2 record this season.

South Ripley has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Oldenburg Academy on the 11th. Rising Sun does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
