Hartfield Academy came tearing into Thursday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Jackson Academy Raiders. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by exactly four runs.

Graham Jackson was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Sheffield, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Hartfield Academy pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Jackson Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-6.

Hartfield Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
