Volleyball Recap: Perry's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Perry had to endure a four-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Valley Vista Monsoon 3-0 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pumas also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

One reason for the win was Perry's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-13.

Among those leading the charge was Braeley Norton, who had nine digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last nine contests. Kate Johnson also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Perry was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Perry's record is now 20-14. As for Valley Vista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13.

Looking ahead, Perry will challenge Chandler at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley Vista, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mountain Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on the 20th.
