Football Game Preview: Parkwood Wolf Pack vs. Mount Pleasant Tigers + How To Watch

The Parkwood Wolf Pack are taking a road trip to square off against the Mount Pleasant Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Parkwood has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Mount Pleasant will arrive with three straight wins.

Parkwood is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Monroe last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wolf Pack were dealt a 40-7 loss at the hands of the Redhawks. While losing is never fun, the Wolf Pack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Redhawks are ranked 43rd).

Parkwood might have lost, but man, Amarri Lytle was a machine: he rushed for 127 yards while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.

Parkwood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Anwar Bit and Smith Barlowe.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Mount Pleasant duked it out with Anson on Friday. The Tigers walked away with a 26-14 victory over the Bearcats.

Mount Pleasant's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Parkwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Parkwood ended up a good deal behind Mount Pleasant in their previous meeting back in October of 2016, losing 42-25. Can the Wolf Pack avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
