Volleyball Game Preview: West Jordan Jaguars vs. Taylorsville Warriors

West Jordan has gone a perfect 3-0 against Taylorsville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Jaguars will head out to square off against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

West Jordan will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Hunter, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Jaguars blew past the Wolverines 3-0 on Tuesday.

While West Jordan won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-22.

West Jordan can attribute much of their success to Marshall Handy, who had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Handy has posted over his last six games.

Meanwhile, Taylorsville entered their tilt with Granger on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 3-1.

The victory didn't come easy: Granger scored at least 22 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-23, 25-22.

West Jordan pushed their record up to 15-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Taylorsville, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.

West Jordan took their win against Taylorsville in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
