Softball Recap: East Ridge Victorious

East Ridge won the last time they faced Osceola and things went their way on Thursday too. The East Ridge Knights walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Osceola Kowboys. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Simmone Hymiller looked comfortable as she tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, East Ridge let Sydney Ralstin and Lelia Bolden run wild. Ralstin went 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs, while Bolden scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs Ralstin has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Allie McCleary, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

East Ridge hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in four consecutive matches dating back to last season.

East Ridge's record now sits at 2-0-1. As for Osceola, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, East Ridge will square off against Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Osceola, they will challenge Lyman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
