Basketball Recap: Mount Pisgah Christian Drops Highest Score of Season Against Fulton Science Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Pisgah Christian). They came out on top against the Fulton Science Academy Mustangs by a score of 71-64 on Thursday.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Turney, who went 8-for-15 on his way to 22 points along with seven boards and six assists. Thanks to that strong game, Turney now owns an excellent 45.3% field goal percentage. Julian Edney was another key player, putting up 18 points and three steals.

The victory got Mount Pisgah Christian back to even at 2-2. As for Fulton Science Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Mount Pisgah Christian will face off against Athens Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fulton Science Academy, they will host Rabun Gap-Nacoochee at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
