Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Skates Past Kennedy with Ease

St. Mary won the last time they faced Kennedy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Rams breezed past the Cougars to the tune of 71-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

St. Mary's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonah Millonida, who went 5-for-6 to rack up 12 points. What's more, Millonida also posted an 83% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ibrahim Karabala, who posted seven points and 11 rebounds.

St. Mary's now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Kennedy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

The Rams will need to watch out since the Thundering Herd have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Kennedy, they and Golden Valley will face off at 5:45 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Kennedy will be up against Golden Valley's rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.6 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
