Football Recap: Garrison Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Garrison and Elysian Fields squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Garrison had to settle for second. They and the Yellowjackets were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 55-54 loss. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Garrison still got an impressive performance from Avery Yarbrough, who rushed for 258 yards and four scores while picking up 15.2 yards per carry. Yarbrough's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 118 rushing yards. Carter Crawford was in the mix as well, providing Garrison with two touchdowns.

Nunu Kennedy went supernova For Elysian Fields., rushing for 208 yards and four TDs while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 17 passes. What's more, Kennedy racked up 25 receiving yards, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Alex Simmons was another key player, gaining 108 total yards.

Garrison's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Elysian Fields, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Garrison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elysian Fields, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 74-21 defeat against Joaquin on the 28th.
