Oxnard won against Rio Mesa on Tuesday with 32 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Yellowjackets beat the Pacifica Tritons by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 32-6. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won nine contests by 26 points or more so far this season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Oxnard's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Natalie Garcia, Charlee Bernal, and Kimia Austin, who each picked up one sack apiece. Mariah Tutt got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win made it two in a row for Oxnard and bumps their season record up to 9-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 12 points in those games. As for Pacifica, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Oxnard didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-19 win against Santa Barbara on the 9th. As for Pacifica, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 30-0 victory against Buena on the 9th.
