Volleyball Recap: Amsterdam Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Amsterdam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Wolves, falling 3-0.

While Amsterdam was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 25-12.

Breanna Frehulfer paced Amsterdam's offense, picking up four kills. Frehulfer got some help from Jaslee Cage and her 11 assists. Nakisha Medina and Ilianis Aleman-Rivera kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Amsterdam's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville, with the win, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 10-13.

Amsterdam has already played their next match (against Johnstown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Middleburgh on the 21st.
