Volleyball Recap: Oldham-Ramona/R Comes Up Short

Oldham-Ramona/R was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks. If the Rutland were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Blackhawks when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Oldham-Ramona/R ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 25-20.

Oldham-Ramona/R's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5-1.

Coming up, Oldham-Ramona/R will square off against Flandreau Indian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, they will challenge Wolsey-Wessington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
