Presentation fell victim to Archbishop Mitty and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 14-0 to the Monarchs.
Presentation saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lagi Mailo, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saint Francis). They put the hurt on St. Ignatius College Preparatory with a sharp 18-1 win on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Lancers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Bianka Fisher looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Malianna Liongitau, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2025. Maya Meltz was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Saint Francis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .683. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Presentation's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Saint Francis, their victory bumped their record up to 22-2.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Presentation has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .490. However, it's not like Saint Francis struggles in that department as they've averaged .444. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
