Redbank Valley had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past West Shamokin 12-1.

Ty Carrier was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (he also didn't allow any walks). Carrier was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
