Volleyball Recap: Oakfield's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Oakfield waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Markesan Hornets. The Oaks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

Lydia Flury paced Oakfield's offense, picking up 12 kills. Flury got some help from Hayden Collien and her 12 assists. Lily Collien controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Oakfield's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Markesan, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-24.

Oakfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Palmyra-Eagle on the 11th. As for Markesan, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Parkview on the 11th.
