Football Game Preview: Durango Demons vs. Ponderosa Mustangs

The Durango Demons will welcome the Ponderosa Mustangs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Durango will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Two weeks ago, Durango beat Vista Ridge 24-14.

Grady Feeney continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 106 yards and a pair of scores, while also throwing for 110 yards and one touchdown.

Durango didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Kaedon Martinez, Presley English, and Rashad Reece picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Vista Ridge's side was Oliver Clark, who made seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Ponderosa rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Raptors by a score of 27-14. The Mustangs pushed the score to 27-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raptors cut but never quite recovered from.

Durango better keep an eye on Troy WcWhorter. He was instrumental in Ponderosa's win, rushing for 120 yards and one TD. They are undefeated when WcWhorter posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 3-4 otherwise.

Durango's record is now 8-2. As for Ponderosa, their record now sits at 7-4.
