Basketball Game Preview: Mingo Valley Christian Eagles vs. Wright Christian Wildcats

The Mingo Valley Christian Eagles just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Wright Christian Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mingo Valley Christian heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Friday. They came up short against Destiny Christian, falling 55-35. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Wildcats are ranked 173rd).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jadyn Williams, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Hitchcock, who put up ten points.

Meanwhile, Wright Christian lost to Regent Prep on the road by a 45-30 margin two weeks ago. The Wildcats have struggled against Regent Prep recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Mingo Valley Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Wright Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Mingo Valley Christian came up short against Wright Christian in their previous meeting back in January, falling 39-26. Can Mingo Valley Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
