Damon Weishaupt leads a balanced attack to beat Queensbury

Recap: Saugerties Sawyers vs. Queensbury Spartans
After losing to the Queensbury Spartans the last time they met, the Saugerties Sawyers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Saugerties walked away with a 49-37 victory over Queensbury on Thursday.
Saugerties' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Damon Weishaupt led the charge by scoring 11 points. Weishaupt hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Parisio, who scored 13 points.
Saugerties is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Queensbury, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Saugerties and Red Hook will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Red Hook is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Queensbury, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gloversville at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th.
