Softball Recap: Peniel Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Peniel Baptist Academy can now relate to. They fell just short of Harvest Community by a score of 11-9 on Wednesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 28, 2017, but that streak is no more.

Allison Peacock made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was McKenzie Zurn, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Peniel Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Harvest Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 22-6 record this season.

Peniel Baptist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harvest Community, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-0 loss against University Christian on the 13th.
